XFS Description
|
|
XFS is a complete document imaging and management system that enables
paper-centric documents to be captured and stored in electronic format. By
converting paper documents to images, XFS reduces physical storage costs,
enables documents to be electronically utilized and shared, and results in
faster retrieval of information.
XFS manages any kind of file you can save on a Windows-based file server,
including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, AutoCAD, TIFF image files, multimedia
files, and more. The server portion is powered by Microsoft SQL Server and runs
on current versions of Microsoft servers. The client requires only a web
browser to access the application.
XFS is a multi-user system, so many people can work together on a single
file without ever having to worry about overwriting each others work. XFS
incorporates a simple but extremely powerful security system, so users
can be restricted in the files they can access.

| With the proliferation of thousands of documents, finding
documents quickly is a mounting business problem. XFS intuitive and
powerful search capabilities help you: Find documents instantly using a variety
of search criteria. Create searches using multiple criteria across all search
categories. Limit searches to the latest version, all versions, or a subset of
previous versions by date. Search on User Level Profile and keyword
information. Search on additional file information including a file's owner,
description, status, and more. Full text search MS Office documents, PDFs,
scanned documents, emails, and more.
